The unit forms
an integral part of the hospital for patients support in their
critical illness. This unit with its 8 beds facility and other 4
beds as burn unit accepts adult patients from ER and different
departments of the hospital including postoperative, trauma,
critical ill medical, acute coronary and gynecological patients. |

The unit is highly equipped with different invasive and non-invasive
monitering system that allows minute to minute close observation
with timely decisions in emergency situation. The unit also well
equipped with up to date ventilator machines (Evita XL) , temporary
pacing , continuous renal replacement therapy machines that suite
unstable acute renal failure patients with facility for cytokines
removal in sepsis patients , portable echo-machine for emergency
cardiac patients.
The unit design with its fully equipped bed cubical for each patient
and one isolated bed cubical for infection control patients offer
the optimum care and comfort for patients with strict infection
control measures.

The unit is one of semi-closed ICU model type that is supervised by
two highly qualified MD critical care physicians with the integral
share of other medical and surgical consultant. The nursing stuff
are well trained highly scaled with eastern and western
qualifications. The application of strict and up to date policies,
guidelines in the branch of critical care medicine ensure maximum
benefit and best management for this kind of critical ill patients.
