The Department of Education, Training & Research provides a considerable range of services in support of Continuing Medical Education, Staff Development, In-service Training and Research.  These services include:

Our Medical Library has a collection of over 1000 up to date publications in addition to our extensive Journal archives.   Audio and video cassettes are available, as are slide-making facilities, computer aided presentation equipment and support.  For an example of our Reprographics faculties click on the link opposite.

Recent Conference & Course

  National Conference on Patient Centered Health Education

The Conference will help health care providers to focus on informing patients about their illnesses (Health Education) and their rights regarding to treatment (Patient's Charter), and in raising the level of awareness of patients and their health care providers in the central role patients have to play in the management of their illness.

     

A Concise Course on
Management of Severely Injured Patients

The objectives of this course are:

  • To ensure provision of appropriate, immediate patient
    management (particularly during the first ‘golden hour’)
    to trauma cases in the shortest possible time;
  • To address communication problems encountered on
    previous trauma cases;
  • To improve the skills of appropriate health care providers and
  • To develop strong Team spirit.
