The department of Engineering is
responsible for maintaining the full utilities systems, equipment,
housing, facilities and medical gas systems of the Hospital.
This substantial task is addressed by
the various sections within the department and include:
Boiler Maintenance
The Hospital is equipped with new
chillers and new and more efficient boilers are currently being
installed

Hospital Physical Plant
The physical plant is one of the most
critical areas and is managed by the Mechanical Engineering Section
with support from High Voltage Electrical specialists.

The Engineering & Maintenance
Department has a major responsibility for safety and fire control.
To aid this function, there is a fully computerized BMS (Building
Management System), as well as clear procedures for departmental
emergency response.
