The Preventive
Medicine department provides all necessary public health services
inside KKMC , which are provided in the civilian setting by Ministry
of Health and/or municipality.
The main units of the
Preventive Medicine department comprise:

Communicable disease
control unit.
-
Immunization unit.
-
Environmental Health
unit (also comprising Environmental Health Lab as well as Office
of issuing health certificates for food handlers).

School Health unit.
The Preventive Medicine department is also keen to maintain the
‘Team work’ principal, in pursue of achieving maximum collaborated
efforts to accomplish the assigned tasks in the best possible way.

The philosophy of the
Preventive Medicine department is based on utilizing the
scientific approach in solving problems, as well as adopting writing
periodical technical reports on all aspects within the department’s
domain, which are consequently passed to higher authorities along
with scientific recommendations for potential solutions.
The Preventive Medicine
department gives great concern to ‘Continuous Medical Education’
within the department, since the problems that are faced are varied;
we resort to recent scientific sources to find suitable explanations
and/or solutions, then pass the experience to all concerned
department members. |
